She was born in Texas and raised in Massachusetts but spent some highly formative years in Atlanta, where she was the food editor at alt-weekly Creative Loafing, and Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she was the deputy editor of a magazine called Citylife. Now she lives in Brooklyn, where she edits books and is maybe sort of working on one of her own.
