As any dog paw-rent knows, even the best-rated dog toys can be hit or miss. No matter how pricey or (allegedly) indestructible the toy claims to be, your pup could show zero interest in it or destroy it in minutes.
Over the years, we’ve put a lot of dog toys to the test in our house — and there’s only one that has outplayed and outlasted them all: the Kong Wobbler. After five years of near-daily use, our Wobbler still keeps our highly intelligent Pointer engaged and stands up to the beating it takes from the jaws and paws of our Great Dane.
What is the Kong Wobbler?
The Kong Wobbler is an interactive food-dispensing toy that’s both physically and mentally stimulating for dogs. It comes in two sizes (small and large) and looks like the classic beehive-shaped rubber Kong that many dog parents may be familiar with, but instead of rubber, it’s made of a durable (dare I say chew-proof) plastic that’s easy to clean and dishwasher-safe. It also differs from the original Kong in that it has a small hole in the side instead of a large hole at the bottom.
How does the Kong Wobbler work?
To ready the Kong Wobbler for your pup’s enrichment session, simply unscrew the top from the bottom, fill the top with your dog’s food or treats, and screw it back together. The bottom part is filled with sand, so the Wobbler stays upright until nudged by your dog’s paw or nose, dispensing food or treats from the hole in the side as it topples over. The unpredictable movement of the Wobbler stimulates a dog’s natural instincts and satisfies their need to hunt and solve problems.

The Kong Wobbler is a lifesaver on busy days when we don’t have as much time to walk, play, or engage with our dogs as we’d like.
