Say what you will about Vancouver’s reputation as a haven for athleisure and health nuts; the truth is, this city loves its burgers.
If smashburgers are your speed, Vancouver is in the midst of a deep love affair with those thin patties and their crispy, lacy edges. And though the heyday of the sky-high mega-thick patty with a laundry list of decadent toppings is behind us, there are plenty of epic burgers worth trying.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Vancouver without a twist: Some of our best burgers showcase Southeast Asian flavours, or are plant-based, or are tucked into buns made of rice. In short, there’s a lot to sink your teeth into when searching for Vancouver’s best burgers that offer delivery near you.
Banter Room
Yaletown’s vibey Banter Room is all about facilitating hangouts with approachable comfort foods. Their signature Banter Burger is one of the restaurant’s most popular items, and it’s clear why: They’re using a full quarter pound of chuck and brisket for their grind and topping it with shredded lettuce, bacon, cheddar, and their secret chef's sauce, and putting it all on a buttery brioche bun.
Bin 4 Burger Lounge
Bin 4 is all about burgers of all kinds and styles; we’re talking beef, lamb, bison, and pork, served up in mouthwatering combos using locally sourced ingredients. The Black & Blue features premium B.C. beef seasoned with Bin 4’s blackening spice, creamy blue cheese, tangy-sweet tomato jam, crispy onions, smoky chipotle aioli, and lettuce. The Angry Bull will deliver a swift kick to your taste buds with a patty made of Canadian Rangeland bison, pork, and chorizo topped with Piri Piri sauce and roasted jalapeño aioli for heat, crispy tortilla strips for crunch, and goat cheese for creaminess. Perfection.
Blaze Gourmet Burgers
Thick juicy burgers on soft, fluffy buns dominate at Blaze, which has a lineup of 6-ounce Angus beef burgers stacked with an array of topping combos (hello, Truffle Mushroom, with your Swiss cheese, truffle-infused mushrooms, and secret sauce), but they also have a full roster of simpler, smaller cheeseburgers. Take your time with the Blaze menu, because they have so many options for add-ons (or take-offs); turn any a la carte burger into a combo with fries and a drink. This is a Most Loved Restaurant on DoorDash, which means it is one of the top-rated and most reliable merchants on DoorDash.
Burger Crush
Victoria graciously gave us an outpost of its burger staple, and Vancouver has been crushing hard ever since. You might hear folks say this spot is our version of In-N-Out, and it’s easy to see why. They home in on the essentials here, whether that’s in their single or double cheeseburgers or their fries and shakes. Need a veggie or vegan version? No worries: There’s a meat-free version of just about everything on the menu.
Downlow Burger
The name might imply there’s something clandestine going on, but Vancouverites have been in on the Downlow secret for years. These are more than your typical three-napkin burgers; you might need a shower once you’re done with lunch. I’ll never say no to the Americana, with its special sauce and traditional toppings, but the French Onion is a true beauty, decked out in a rich tangle of caramelised onions and melty gruyère with French onion sauce.
The Ellis Bar & Restaurant
One of Vancouver’s top burger places with delivery near you, Kitsilano’s The Ellis does gastropub dishes splendidly, including a house burger that keeps people coming back. They’re building this burger completely from scratch, starting with house-made brioche buns and double beef patties, which they top with a slice of cheddar, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions with a schmear of house-made mayo.
Fable Diner
Fable Diner is celebrated for its farm-to-table ethos and creative twists on classic diner fare. Their burgers are made with locally sourced beef and served on fluffy potato buns, pairing juicy patties with tasty toppings and house-made sauces. A popular choice is the Diner Burger, which has streaky bacon, sunny egg, onion rings, lettuce, and garlic aioli. This is a Most Loved Restaurant on DoorDash.
The Flying Pig
This reliable Vancouver go-to for decadent comfort eats makes a spectacular burger. Called The Prime Rib Burger, this is one thick-yet-dapper fella, dressed up in aged white cheddar, shaved lettuce, tomato, and red relish mayo. It comes with fries, but do yourself a favour and add on an order of the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. You know, for health. This is a Most Loved Restaurant on DoorDash.
Juicy Joe’s Burgers
Many a burger lover have boldly declared Juicy Joe’s the best in town. Known for its smashburgers, this take-out and delivery-only spot keeps things focused squarely on executing wicked good burgers and sides. Juicy Joe’s tricks out their six-ounce beef patties in a variety of ways; the sweet and smoky Pineapple Express, for example, comes with cheddar cheese, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried onions, and whisky barbecue sauce.
KAPOW! Burger
Launched by a crew of local hospitality pros, KAPOW! is a burger joint on wheels that hangs out mostly at Mount Pleasant’s colourful Electric Bicycle brewery. Their menu of superhero-styled burgers range from the basic Kapow! Burger to the ostentatious Snap! Burger, with a 100% Angus Canadian beef smash patty, jalapeño jack, tomato, crispy bacon, diced onion, and Carolina barbecue aioli. Always order a side of tots.
Kokomo
Kokomo is known for its plant-based bowls, smoothies, wraps, and noodles, but the cheery operation’s sensational burger made such a splash when it launched that there were epic lines for months. Once only available as a limited special, Kokomo’s burger — built on an Impossible patty — has landed a permanent spot on the menu. Go for the O.G. or spice things up with The Med Burger, which tops a Mediterranean-seasoned Impossible patty with tzatziki, pickled cabbage, and garlic spread. They have two Vancouver locations, Commercial Street and Kitsilano. This is a Most Loved Restaurant on DoorDash.
Maxine’s Cafe & Bar
This charming French bistro dazzles with its beautiful brunch, lunch, and dinner dishes, but their house special Maxine’s Burger is a standout. Considering that it sits on a pretty excellent menu, that’s high praise. It has serious heft and height, piled high with American cheddar, bacon, shredded lettuce, and special burger sauce: Maxine’s Burger is basically an immersive full body experience.
MeeT
With three Vancouver locations, MeeT (on Main, in Yaletown, and in Gastown) is essential eating for vegetarians and the veg-curious. In fact, omnivores often feast there as well. The MeeT Burger is hard to beat, with its sauteéd mushrooms and chipotle mayo. Feeling bold? Get The Mighty Mac, with its heaping layers of house-made mac ’n’ cheese, crunchy fried onion strings, and pickled jalapeños.
Monarch Burger
All hail the king! Legendary Vancouver chef Robert Belcham first debuted his take on a classic cheeseburger, cheekily called the Dirty Burger, years back at Campagnolo Upstairs. After Campagnologo closed, Belcham focused on making burgers for his next venture, Monarch Burger, which made a triumphant debut in a permanent space in 2024 for delivery near you. Monarch’s burgers are meticulously crafted to showcase a stellar beef flavour with modest adornments on a just-right bun. The menu at this Vancouver burger restaurant is short; you can get a burger (no cheese) or a single or double Dirty Burger (aka cheeseburger). Simply put: These burgers rule.
Per Se Social Corner
You know when a menu calls its burger offering The Burger, it’s a diva-in-the-spotlight scenario. That is most assuredly the case with Michelin Guide-recommended Per Se Social Corner, with a burger — pardon me, The Burger — that tops many a list. This beauty will set you back a bit, but sometimes indulgence is the only option. Per Se takes a juicy 8-ounce Blue Goose organic beef patty and adorns it with melted fontina cheese, truffle aioli, and onions caramelised in Syrah, all on a challah bun. It’s perfect for sharing on date night, but if you’re only dating yourself, I don’t judge. This restaurant is recommended by the Michelin Guide.
Pigot’s Burger Club
Thankfully, there’s no membership required to get your hands around a Pigot burger. This delivery-only operation came to town courtesy of chef Mike Pigot, who made a name for himself in Calgary before expanding to Vancouver. Here, it’s not a matter of will you get a burger, it’s which burger will you get. And the getting is good — all the way up to the one stacked with three juicy patties dressed in melty ‘merican cheese (their words) with their brown sugar-caramelised onions and secret sauce on a butter toasted potato roll.
Rice Burger
How’s this for something new — Japanese burgers with rice “buns.” This isn’t bread made of rice flour, but rather discs of cooked white rice that sandwich all sorts of delectable burger-style fillings. Rice Burger’s riff on a traditional burger is the Beef Yakiniku, featuring marinated and grilled beef with fresh slaw and a house-made teriyaki sauce.
Romer’s Burger Bar
Chef Jim Romer opened Romer’s in 2010 with a menu of gourmet burgers made of beef ground fresh in-house, and that’s still the case today. The Man’s Man is rich, loaded up with crispy onions, tomatoes, dark ale cheddar, and mustard aioli, while the Cubano takes things to another level, thanks to its chorizo-spiced pork-and-beef patty, smoked ham, mozzarella, parmesan, pickles, banana peppers, green onions, mustard, and olive oil garlic aioli.
Street Hawker
And now for something a little different: Street Hawker brings a fresh twist by infusing Southeast Asian flavours with classic burger concepts. Super juicy patties team up with kimchi, pickled vegetables, and creamy house-made sauces. Double down with the McGangster — a pair of Two Rivers beef smash patties, a massive piece of coconut milk fried chicken, American cheese, and Street Hawker’s gangster sauce. This is a Most Loved Restaurant on DoorDash.
Triple O’s
There’s a lot to be said for keeping it simple. As the more casual sibling to White Spot, Triple O’s menu zeroes in on classic burgers and sides. When a burger craving strikes, this popular franchise absolutely delivers. For those who are looking to ditch the bun, they will kindly do a lettuce wrap, too.
White Spot
White Spot is downright legendary. Burgers are the most popular items ordered on the family-friendly chain’s menu, thanks in part to their signature Triple O's sauce that adds tang and creaminess. My pro tip: Get an extra side of Triple O for dipping your hand-cut fries, whether you go for the Legendary Burger or opt for a more unique choice like the Monty Mushroom.
New customers get $0 delivery fee off their first order. First-time users only, on orders that meet minimum subtotal. Other fees (incl. service & small order fees), taxes & gratuity apply. Terms apply.
